I hold a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from Appalachian State University that certifies me to teach Kindergarten through 6th grade. After graduating college, I started out teaching 1st grade, but realized that being full time lead teacher wasn't the path for me. I am now a substitute teacher for the county (which I love!) and I am hoping to add babysitting/nannying as another way to connect with kiddoes. I have been babysitting since I was 12 years old. I started off with my younger siblings, then moved on to kids around the neighborhood, and then had a couple of nanny jobs. In college, I worked as a senior cabin counselor at a sleep away summer camp for 2 years, where a junior staff member and I spent 2-3 weeks at a time with our own group of 5-10 year old girls; an experience that I wouldn't trade for the Read more world. If my degree and past experience don't say it well enough, I will tell you now that kids are absolutely my passion! They are our future and I believe it is very important to make sure that they are properly loved, cared for, and educated so that they are prepared for what lies ahead. I look forward to working with you!
