I recently moved to omaha after graduating with my masters in social work from Rhode Island college. I have over 10 years of experience working with children, with a specialty working with kids with disabilities. I worked at a summer camp for children with disabilities ( everything from ADHD to Down syndrome to severe autism spectrum disorders) for 7 summers growing up. I have my bachelors in psychology and am very familiar with the processes of child development. I have more recently worked as an in-home behavior therapist for children with developmental disabilites or challenging behaviors. I have also held a position working with pregnant/ parenting teens and therefore have training and experience working with infants and toddlers. I describe myself as fun, outgoing, sarcastic and silly. I had nannys growing up until I entered high school and know how important a good relationship can be for a child while Read more parents are working/ away. I am very active and athletic, working out 5+ days a week and would be more than happy to do things outdoors with the kiddo(s). I came to Omaha to be with my long term boyfriend who is here for his job. There is a possibility he will be sent back to the east coast within the next 1-2 years which is why I am not applying for full time professional positions coming out of my masters program.
