I am currently a first grade teacher. I have experience teaching first and second grade. I have been an educator in some capacity for 20 years. I was a reading teacher for five years working with students one-on-one and in small groups. I also worked for three years at a high school as a Para-educator in special education, assisting students in reading and writing. I completed my MEd as a Reading and Writing specialist in May 2011. I worked at The Family Center in Peterborough NH for 8 years as a parent educator and children's program coordinator. I have two children, a son 18 a college freshman and a daughter, 22 just graduated from college in CA. She lives and works in CA. I enjoy working with families and have excellent references. I hired Nancy to help with group childcare for the soldiers and families of the US Army New England Recruiting Battalion. We were having our annual banquet and the families needed childcare in order to be able to attend. This was for five-hours and I have to say she exceeded my expectations. She went beyond what she needed to do. She showed up early and ready to go. She came in and immediately took charge of taking care of the children. She played games, helped with crafts, read books, showed movies, and fed the children. She was active with each child, ages ranging from 2 months to 10 years. She even took it upon herself to set up and clean up (which was not required of her). I heard no complaints from the families after the childcare was over. Each parent gave praises on how wonderful she was with the children and every child had a blast. Additionally, I was in and out of the room all night to check in, and each time the children were happy and well taken care of. Never once did I hear a child crying or complaining. I would highly recommend her to anyone who is looking for someone who will dedicate all her time and energy to watching and taking care their children. She has a caring and positive attitude. She is worth every penny and so much more! Thank you again, Nancy, for everything!
