I work full-time for the Mayhew Program as a mentor for at-risk boys age 10-16, and have worked the past 4 summers as a summer camp counselor for 10-12 year-olds. I am first aid, CPR, and lifeguard certified. I love working with children mostly because they help keep alive my own inner child, but I also love asking them questions and seeing how they think about things, they often surprise me with a perspective that I don't expect. I believe that I and the children I work with both have a lot to learn from each other.
