I work from home for the University of Texas at San Antonio coordinating community service for college students. I often coordinate volunteer programs on youth development and spend time volunteering with youth K-12 at various after school programs. I moved to San Antonio 1 year ago for work upon finishing my Masters Degree. Now, comfortable in my full-time job, I am prepared to work part-time providing child care once again. I enjoy spending time with children and find it rewarding to provide enriching activities for youth. I have babysat for families on a regular basis as well as the occasional date night babysitting for multiple families. My experience with regular families have been with two to three kids ages ranging from 2 to 9 years old as well as one family with one six month old baby that I cared for weekly. I have worked at after school programs/day-cares with Read more kids from low-income families. Their ages have ranged from 9 months to 12 years old. My first year as a college student, I worked as a coordinator at a program where I was responsible for getting the kids off the bus, providing assistance in homework, serving snacks, and conducting fun activities and games. When the program closed due to funding, I continued to mentor and provide homework help to elementary and middle school students. I volunteered regularly in schools and with programs such as Girls Inc., Boys and Girls Club, and the YMCA. I have volunteered to face paint for Girls Inc.'s Halloween party and the Boys and Girls Club "Kid Day". In the summer, I volunteer time running a Kids tent with crafts, games, and face painting at a Fireman's fundraiser event. I love doing crafts, playing games, and being active outside with kids.
