I have worked in a daycare for the past two years over the summer and on school breaks. I have been responsible for 10 children at a time in a room on my own and 20 children at a time in a room with a co-teacher. My duties include snack and meal set up and clean up, facilitating reading, writing, and math curriculum, and maintaining playground safety during outside time. I also set up, clean up, and assist in arts and crafts projects with the children. The ages of the children range from infants through kindergarten-aged children. I have also chaperoned a field trip to the museum of science during which I was responsible for four kindergarten-aged children. Beyond the daycare, I love being outside, playing catch, kicking soccer balls, and shooting hoops. I don't know much about these sports but I am usually up for the challenge. I also Read more love to do arts and crafts, puzzles, and play board games. I can navigate myself around the kitchen and enjoy preparing and trying new and healthy recipes. Additionally, I completed an internship at an early intervention program in Worcester, MA focusing on speech and language difficulties in children under three years of age. Currently, I am only looking for a full-time position for this summer only.
