My name is Emily and I am an experienced child care provider. I have lived in a daycare setting my whole life, and currently am. My mother has owned her own home daycare for 25 years. I have assisted her for many years with her practice and currently work with her PT. I have cared for children as young as 2 months and as old as 15. I grew up in her daycare so I learned at a young age how to take care of kids. I have a 7 year old niece and a 2 year old nephew who keep me on my toes and remind me I'm a child at heart. I have no children of my own but helped raised my niece since she was born so I have experience with teething, potty training, etc. I'm big into arts and crafts, baking, playing outside, reading, exploring nature, Read more and having fun. I'm a Disney finatic and love watching Disney movies. I also am familiar with all the kids shows like Paw Patrol, Sofia the First, Spongebob, The Lion Guard, PJ Masks, etc. BUT I would much rather find a fun activity to do with a child then spend hours just watching TV. I treat every child like my best buddy and haven't met a kiddo I haven't gotten along with. I respect a parents schedule for their child and will follow it 100% I understand every parent has their own way of doing things and I will never disrespect your choices or give an unwanted opinion on any matter. I like to make sure kids follow their parents rules and behave while they're gone, and I also encourage them to use their manners. I believe I am patient and have a relaxed personality, but still like to have fun and make sure the kids are having fun as well. I dont mind being stern if needed but will never yell or scare a child. I have had experience with very excitable children before and that's not an issue. I can administer medication if needed. I have my LNA but my license recently expired. I can provide basic first aid care if needed. I have my own transportation and full coverage auto insurance. I believe im respectful and always leave a clean house.
