My name is Shayla, and I currently provide child care out of our Southern NH home. At this time I am providing part-time care for a toddler and after-school care for a 2nd grader, and am interested in connecting with another full-time or part-time family. My goal is to provide quality care with as much 1:1 attention as possible, and where activities, outings, and play-dates are a regular part of our schedule. I have been working with children for the past 15 years - in the Nashua School District, professional child care settings, after-school programs, and as a personal nanny. I spent the past 10 years working for the Nashua School District, providing Social/Emotional and Behavioral Support. I provided consultation to staff, established behavior supports for students and worked with them as they learned to use those supports, and trained other staff members in those supports. I am blessed to Read more have been able to do something I absolutely love and believe in, and it was wonderful to be able to build relationships with students and see them grow and learn each day. I loved my time in the Nashua School District, however after much discussion my husband and I decided it was time for me to move in to providing home-based child care. My desire has long been to care for children in our home, both as a care provider for other’s children, as well as a mother to our own children. With the desire to have a family of our own, as well as to complete our licensing as foster parents, I am hoping to connect with a family that I can partner with in providing excellent care for their children each day, as they also support the goals we have for our family. I am looking for a long-term connection that can continue when my own children are born and when foster children come in to our home. I understand this is a unique situation and finding the right fit will be very important for everyone. My husband and I own a home in a beautiful area of Southern NH with a wonderful finished basement play room and large backyard.
