My name is Lucas Sheehan. I'm a college student home for the summer after just completing my third year of pharmacy school at ACPHS in New York. I have a couple required internships throughout the summer, so I need a job with somewhat flexible hours and one that will allow me to take time off as needed! This is why I think babysitting is a well-suited job for this summer. I have a lot of experience working with children! I began babysitting when I was in high school and spent a lot of time watching my two nieces, who were only 2 and 4 years old at the time. I've worked as a substitute teacher's aid in the local school district of Goffstown, NH, specifically in elementary schools. Additionally, I have been involved in an after-school program where I attend college in New York for 3 years, working with inner Read more city students in grades 3-7, some of which are youths at risk. As of last fall, I even have experience babysitting a 3 year old boy who, over the course of time I was babysitting, was diagnosed with autism! My experiences watching a wide variety of children has allowed me to develop skills that make me better at caring for and communicating with kids. After just one semester as a volunteer in the after-school program at my school in New York, I was offered a paid position to be a lead mentor in a specific classroom, and I believe this is a reflection of my continuously improving performance when it comes to working with kids. I really enjoy babysitting and I'm looking to do a lot of it this summer!
