Hi! I'm Sophia. I am a recent graduate of SUNY Optometry with aspirations to work in the field as a pediatric optometrist . My license takes a couple of months to activate so I would like to spend this summer with children as part time work before I start at my new job at the end of August. I love working with children and have been since my teen years. I have worked as a baby sitter and after-school program instructor in S.T.E.M. / life sciences. Prior to my acceptance to Optometry school, I was directing a middle school tutoring program where I gained experience in developing academic curriculum for middle school students, behavioral management and parent partnership. I have also tutored during my undergraduate years in both science and math. I love witnessing the "AHA" moments of development when working with kids of all ages.
