In May of 2011, I graduated from The College of New Jersey with a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education and Psychology. After graduation I worked for two years in the Outpatient Brain Injury Program at Children's Specialized Hospital in Mountainside New Jersey. I am currently attending Kean University to obtain my Master's degree in Occupational Therapy. I have a variety of different experiences working with children, from babysitting/tutoring to being a camp counselor to my student teaching experiences. I am comfortable babysitting for a family with more than one child, as I have experience babysitting for a family with five children under the age of 10. I also have experience working with children with special needs. Additionally, I am currently CPR and First Aid certified. (I will be getting my CPR certification renewed in either March or April). I feel it is important to spend Read more time building on and expanding children’s skills and hobbies. As a former athlete and future health science professional, I think it is beneficial for children to spend time throughout each day doing some form of exercise, which includes spending time outside (weather permitting.) As a previous education major and current occupational therapy student, I have learned many techniques, strategies, and activities to utilize while babysitting depending on the needs of the child/children.
