When I was 12, my mom enrolled me in a babysitting course run by the American Red Cross. It taught me the basics of safety, first aid, entertainment, and the confidence to be the best babysitter I could be. Now obviously, I wasn't babysitting at the age of 12. I began helping some of my friends babysit their younger siblings. Then, after graduating high school, one of my teachers contacted me and had me fill in as her main babysitter for a while. I was receiving jobs from family friends. I was enjoying the experience of getting to teach and play with kids. I have babysat between ages of 4 months-12 years old. I am also a fourth year college student who is majoring in Elementary Education. If that doesn't say how much I love being around kids, then I don't know what will. I have been in multiple classrooms Read more of varying ages and I have been trained to teach grades K-6. I also am in the process of getting my certificate to teach middle school Social Studies. I would love the opportunity to broaden my experiences with children of all ages and to enjoy getting to know them and play with them!
