Hello, my name is Elizabeth and I am interested in caring for your sweet children! A little about my experience with children: I have worked at Shining Lights Early Childhood Center for a little over a year in the infants room. We have children ages 2 months - 15 months old in the infant room. I assist with feedings, naps, diaper changes, administering medication, and of course, loving on, reading to, and playing with the children. There are usually 2 or 3 adults for 4-10 babies, so while I do work with a team I also know how to care for infants by myself. Outside of the class setting, I babysit for some of the babies who attend the school. I am on rotation at my church to teach a class of 2 and 3 year olds on Sunday mornings. In addition, I have been watching a 6 year old Read more girl for full and half days during the months of June, July, and August. Part of my responsibility was running errands occasionally, helping with laundry, making breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and helping the little girl develop her reading skills. I enjoy reading to children and helping them learn about the world around them. I believe that play and hands-on, age appropriate, activities are essential for children's growth and development. I have no problem doing some light housework or running errands. I am currently taking night classes at Rowan University four nights a week. I am working towards a BA in Psychology with a specialization in Child Behavior Services and then I plan on pursuing a Masters degree in Elementary Education. My earliest classes don't begin until 3:30pm on Wednesday's, Tuesday's and Thursday's class starts at 5, and at 6:30 on Monday's, so hopefully there will be no scheduling conflicts.
