HI, My name is Kathryn Mennen. I am a college graduate who has a social work degree. I am 22 years old. I love children and i have a strong desire to work with Autistic individuals. My nephew is diagnosed with Autism and he is so caring and loving. Sometimes I feel that many individuals look down upon him or undermine his ability and i will never do that because science has proved that individuals who have autism are extremely intelligent and very capable. Additionally, I am a firm believer in treating each and every individual as an equal regardless of such setbacks. We, humans are all facing challenges and therefore it is not necessary to belittle others in order to make ourselves feel more powerful. I am extremely patient and understanding. I actually wrote a research paper on children who have autism which expanded my knowledge and thus made Read more me more aware of the disorder.
