My child-care experiences include babysitting my little brother, and children of family members and close friends. I've had experience in almost all babysitting scenarios from children with allergies, to having to care for 3 children at once. Although I have never cared for infants by myself, I have had experience taking care of them in the company of family. Although I do not have any certifications, I am currently studying to become an English Teacher at the secondary level. I've spent close to 100 hours in the field working with children of all ages (6-12 grade). Generally, I work better with children under the age of 12 and above the age of 14. It was my love of working with children that inspired me to pursue becoming a teacher, in hopes that I could assist them in their social, cognitive, and individual growth. On a personal level, I'm pretty goofy, Read more carefree, and outgoing. I love creative projects, building things (I'm looking at you, Legos), and imaginative play. However, I do have situational awareness, and can easily collect myself to ensure that the children needs are being met and that they are behaving properly. I look forward to assisting anyone who needs a little help!
