My name is Lauren; I am currently finishing my sophomore year in college at Rutgers University. I am majoring in Inclusive Special Education. I always felt that I had a passion for working with children, which is why I want to become a teacher. I have been a summer camp counselor at my town recreation camp for 6 years, as the counselors for kindergarten and first graders. I absolutely love creating age appropriate activities that keep the campers engaged. I also have experience in a daycare setting as a teaching assistant. Through the summer camp I have met many families that I have babysat for with children ranging from new born through middle school age. I also have experience with volunteering in regular education and special education classrooms through my high school and college, so I have experience with a wide variety of children.
