When I first arrived in the U.S. over 25 years ago, I greatly enjoyed caring for children of all ages. For 17 years, I owned my own tour guide business showing Brazilian visitors around New York City. I would love to get back to my roots in childcare! I cared for a special needs child for over a year when I first arrived to the country in 1988. After that, I was a nanny for almost a year for an infant. As my own family was beginning to grow, I expanded my tourism business and was blessed to be a working mom with a lucrative customer service business. Now, as I am taking a few steps back from my business, I would love to be able to help other working parents out there with their childcare. While I was not working in childcare full time while managing my business, I Read more did continue to care for some children throughout the years. More recently, I have cared for two toddler girls frequently. Additionally, I have gone back to Brazil several times to help my nieces with their children for months at a time. This continued experience with childcare has really shown me that I'd love to make childcare a full time job.
