Hi! My name is Laurel and I live in Hoboken, NJ. I'm a 4th year Kindergarten teacher with a dual Masters degree in Childhood Education & Literacy. Right now, I work in Manhattan but come Fall I will be working in Hoboken teaching Kindergarten and Pre-K. Before I became a full-time teacher I was a nanny for a family on the Upper West Side for a 1.5 years. During this time I cared for a 2 year-old and 6 year-old and stayed with the family when their 3rd child arrived. I usually picked up the kids from school and took them to the park, made small meals, played a lot of games, made art, and occasionally put them to bed. Since working with this family I've been teaching and using my love of children in a professional way. I'm a progressive educator who loves to have fun, do arts and Read more crafts, play in the park, and read lots of books with kids. In my free time I run along the pier in Hoboken, practice yoga, cook, and spend time with my boyfriend and friends.
