I started babysitting at the age of 13 for a neighbor who's son had special needs. In high school, as a member of the Girl Scouts, I participated in the National Cornelia deLange Syndrome Conference where I provided over thirty hours of childcare for the children affected by this rare genetic disorder. For the past 5 years I was babysitting for a family with a 6 year old boy and a 9 year old girl. Their mother actually used to babysit my sister & me when we were younger!
