My name is Dorene Gannon and I reside in Parsippany (Lake Hiawatha) NJ. Caring for children as well as working with their developmental skills has always been a passion of mine. In addition to having many years of experience being a nanny, I am also a mother to now an adult child. Over the years, I have worked with several different families providing childcare and teaching developmental skills from infancy until they are ready to begin kindergarten. I have learned that each child, each family is unique. I pride myself with always being able to collaborate with the parents to provide exceptional care based on the individual needs of that child. Open lines of communication between the nanny and the parents is a key component to ensure that the child is receiving the same and consistent care. Multitasking is an area in which I am skilled in. I have worked Read more with three different families in which I have cared for three sets of twins. I have worked with a boy/girl set, boy/boy set and girl/girl set. With these families, I started when the twins were infants until they were ready to attend school. Based on the age of the child and their developmental stage, we do learning activities designed for their specific level. Reading, using flash cards for numbers and letters are just a few to list that I have and continue to use as a learning tool. I do outdoor activities with the children that give them fresh air, exercise and fun time all at once. Getting the children out into the fresh air is important for their health. Having a nanny such as myself gives the child more 1:1 attention for learning, playing as well as being able to closely monitor their safety. I am reliable and experienced and give my all to provide the best child care that I can. This has always been a job in which I hold in high regard since it is so important. I am looking for FT work to start ASAP since the twin girls I currently care for will be starting school FT. I am looking to assist another family in caring for their child or children.
