Hello! My name is Lissa. I am a nanny seeking a new potion to begin this summer or fall. I am available Monday-Friday as late as 5 or 6 pm, depending on the location. I am seeking both full or part-time regularly scheduled roles, but I am open to discussing occasional evening/weekend babysitting jobs. I am a nanny caring for two boys under 5, where I have been since January 2022. In addition to over 20 years of private childcare experience, I have worked in a preschool/daycare environment with groups of children up to elementary age. I appreciate the organized approach of lesson plans and themed activities in a daycare, but working in a home setting allows for more personalized attention. While academic performance is important, I prioritize teaching essential life skills, such as self-care, manners, personal hygiene, and social relationships. To ensure that each child gets the best possible foundation, I use a mix of teaching approaches, including Montessori and traditional preschool methods. I am CPR and First Aid Certified and have a Basic Nanny Skills Certificate from the International Nanny Association. I also volunteer my time moderating comments for a YouTube channel that teaches viewers how to incorporate Montessori concepts into the home. Through this volunteer position, I have been given access to a paid community where I can attend virtual conferences and group coaching sessions led by a certified Infant/Toddler Montessori Guide.
