I grew up having to watch my brother and sister while my mom and my stepdad were at work. I had to cook their lunches, and dinner. When they were both infants I had to feed them, change diapers, and put them to sleep. I also babysat a 1 year old and 10 year old for a family down the street from my house 4 times a week or more if I was needed. I was trusted to make sure they ate. I always fed them healthy and kept them away from junk food unless their dad told me it was okay for me to give them sweets. I got along great with them.
