While living in New York I had an opportunity to work at the Pinafore Nursery School. I assisted in teaching 2-4 year olds counting, spelling, singing, art, color/shape knowledge, and other vital skills. I also cooked meals, changed them, and assisted in potty training. There were approximately 20 children at all times, which is roughly 5 children per teacher. From June 2012-May 2013, I babysat for a family with a two year old, which then became a two year old and a newborn! The majority of my experience is taking care of younger children, but am open to all ages. I love being outdoors, art, and singing! I'm pursuing my bachelor's degree in Fisheries and Wildlife Sciences through Oregon State University's online program with a desire to work for the National Parks Service in the field of Interpretation/Education.
