My name is Jordanna and I am graduating in May from The Pennsylvania State University. I am majoring in Psychology, minoring in Human Development Family Studies, and a member of the Schreyer Honors College, while maintaining a 3.88 GPA. I am looking for a babysitting, nannying, or mother's helper position. I am a very outgoing, bubbly, and friendly individual who is able to engage your child/children in creative and fun ways. I am also extremely responsible and will be able to enforce any preexisting house rules you have for your child/children. I have my own transportation, so if your child is enrolled in any activities I will be able to drive him/her for you. I am CPR and First Aid certified, so your child/children will be safe with me! My family has two dogs, so I would also be fine with any pets or animals that your family owns. Although Read more young, I have over eight years of child care experience. I have experience with all age groups, and I am comfortable working with children of any age. My relevant experiences are as follows: Most recently, I was enrolled within a practicum at my university where I administered a social intervention for 9- to 11- year-old boys with a variety of disorders such as ADHD and autism spectrum disorder. Two summers ago, I watched two little girls, aged 5 and 2, while their mother was on bed-rest. Once the baby was born, I was able to keep the children entertained and occupied while their mother cared for their new sibling. I still babysit the girls when I am home during breaks! At school, I have worked part-time within an in-home daycare center. With this position, I was often responsible for up to five children at a time, ranging in age from four months to fourteen years. Three summers ago, I was a summer nanny for a 3 1/2 month old extremely premature infant. This job required me to administer medical needs such as a nebulizer, and other medications when necessary. It also required a great deal of responsibility, attention, and the ability to remain calm if something was going wrong While in high school, I worked in a daycare center for a year with a low-functioning autistic child.
