About Me: My name is Bree Watts and I am a graduate student at NYU. I am truly passionate about caring for children. My father works as a Special Education supervisor for our district and so I grew up helping him with different school events and tutoring students at his schools. I have also worked with children at the Boys and Girls club of Athens for 3 years and really enjoyed my time there. I helped to organize the snack and activities program. I was also the "neighborhood babysitter" for most of the parents who had children in the BGCA program. I am also currently helping another family in NY during occasional weekday mornings and I really hope to meet more great kids/parents and help out in any way that I can. I also an intern at MSNBC 2 - 3 days out of the week but they're always flexible Read more and work around my obligations. P.S. I cook!! Personal Notes: At 5 I was diagnosed with a heart condition and the Children's Miracle Network helped to pay for my surgery. It is because of them that I am able to run free, play tennis, participate in gymnastics, and the countless other high energy activities that I have been apart of; therefore, upon entering college the first organization that I joined was the Miracle Network whose main goal is to raise money for children in the intensive care unit at a couple of our Atlanta hospitals. I also began participating in pageants sponsored by the CMN to raise scholarship money and books for children in Athens. As a teenager I began helping to care for my younger cousin who was diagnosed with autism in 2006. It's been an incredible experience and she is probably the most beautiful individual that I have ever met. For a full resume, you may send me an email at BreeShawna24@gmail.com
