I am a 56-year-old mother of two wonderful girls, now grown up. I stayed home to raise them, and now am seeking to help you with your children! I have many skills developed over 23 years of parenting -- care for a child's physical and emotional well-being; excellent organizational skills; calmness and resourcefulness in responding to emergencies; setting boundaries, and a lot of experience improvising and juggling multiple tasks at once. I volunteered at my children's schools from pre-school through grade 12, helping with individual children as well as groups and whole classrooms. Being involved with children from age 3 through 18 taught me a great deal about children's needs and personalities through all their stages of growth. I have much to share with your child/ren -- helping them learn skills children need to learn at every stage; comforting them; feeding, cleaning and dressing them; helping with homework; reading to Read more them; playing outside and taking walks; just holding them when they need to be held; arts and crafts activities; singing or playing simple musical instruments; or whatever your child and you like. I am highly organized, very tidy, punctual and physically fit -- I can keep up with your active ones! I was born in Charleston, West Virginia; went to college in Philadelphia; and worked in journalism and book publishing in New York City, following which I stayed home with my children. I have lived in my current home in West Windsor for 22 years. I look forward to speaking with you and getting to know your children!
