I am a 31 year old Mom to two amazing little girls (ages 7 & 2). I have a paralegal certificate and a B.A. in mathematics but believe it’s more important to be a full-time Mom at this time, so I chose to put my career temporarily on hold. As you would imagine, this does leave us with a one-paycheck income for the moment that I am hoping to supplement by being there for your kids too. I’ve had plenty of experience with potty training-I preferred to use ‘elimination communication’ for my own girls, and potty trained (the old fashioned way) two of the other children I previously babysat for. As for diapers, I’ve used cloth diapers with my girls but of course I’m happy using regular disposables if that’s what you like. I found I preferred making homemade baby food when my girls were younger and would be more Read more than happy to do so for your infant if you’d like me to (not to infer I am against good old Gerbers, I just enjoyed the experience). Although my CPR license has lapsed I intend to renew shortly, if this is a requirement to watching your child, please feel free to let me know as I can do this sooner. I believe no home should be without that knowledge. I am also a beginner in using ASL, and would love to share that with your son or daughter if you’d like. I love playing and teaching kids, I think they learn quicker when they’re having fun. One of my favorite activities is ‘playing school’ with my oldest girl. It gives me the chance to introduce topics that schools typically don’t cover until much later in grade; science, history, English, etc. My youngest is also a fan of Candy Land, Go Fish, and Old Maid, so we also play a lot of old fashioned board and card games. As I mentioned I do have one of my girls in school, while my younger one is home with me all day. Depending on what time you need me, during the week, I would have either one or both of them with me. I will need to both drop off and pick up my daughter from school and would be taking your child(ren) along with me.The good news is this also means I am able to pick up/drop off your own children at appointments, playdates, etc, if needed. Please know that because I already have 2 carseats in my backseat I can only have a maximum of 2 other children with me when we do this. Of course if you need me for weekends or outside of school hours more than 2 is fine-please see my availability below. If there is something more you’d like to know, don't hesitate to ask!
