From about 3 months to age eleven I had a babysitter, so I can remember what it is like to see through the eyes of a child who has one. During my last few years with my babysitter, I had become the oldest, as well as another set of helping hands. My most recent and previous experience includes being a nanny for a 1 year old and 5 year old. For about year, at the age of 13 years old, a friend and I would watch a set of twins no older than 5, along with their older sister while their mom worked from home in a different part of the house. During the early years of high school, another friend and I watched a family of seven (4 girls and 3 boys) during the evening hours. They ranged in ages of infant to twelve. We watched another family of Read more brothers, ages 2-4 years old for a weekend and also for a family that had a daughter around the age of 7 and her infant brother . (Each family had a schedule for us or an idea of when tasks should be completed; feeding, changing, naps, bedtimes, what they could watch, if they had school work). Also, during my sophomore and junior year high school, there was a program through our Spanish class, that helped the elementary school children with their homework after school. I had the age groups of 1st - 2nd grade, and that was an hour once a week. The club was a success, and I know it continued on throughout the majority of my high school career. Now, I assist my cousin with her three children (2-9 years old). The youngest is my God daughter and I help as much as I can.
