My name is Jane Collins and I am currently pursuing my graduate degree in the HRM program at Rutgers University, New Brunswick. I completed my undergraduate degree in Human Resource Management with a minor in Digital Communication, Information and Media last May at Rutgers and am expected to graduate with my masters this upcoming May, 2015. I have been working as an Assistant Property Manager for Merri-Makers Caterers at the Neshanic Valley Golf Course location. Over the last three years at this job, I have accrued a heavy amount of responsibility. I am savvy with communication, organization and am very detail oriented. I work closely with hundreds of clients, as I am responsible for booking, detailing and following through with all aspects of event planning. Some of my job duties are as follows: • Playing a significant role in long-term planning, detailing and organizing with operational efficiency • Selling the Read more property and landing sales to exceed annual goals • Profit Planning each event proposal • Hiring and Scheduling a Staff of over 40 employees • Building Contracts for clients using Great Plains software • Data entry to keep track of leads, trends, and revenues I also have worked an internship for Merri-Makers Catering in their corporate office as a Marketing and Social Media Specialist. I assisted the marketing account management team by using key online metrics interfaces, became familiarized with content management styles and website platforms to optimize results for clients, and partnered and extended company’s footprint with bridal networks and online marketplaces. Before this, I babysat for a family in Sayreville for 4 years. I instantly became very close with the family. After the first year, I was hired to go on vacation with their family to sit their brothers and sisters children in addition to their own 3 children. I was able to potty train their middle child at age 3 and to this day I stay in touch with their family. I always took proactive measures to give my full attention to the needs of the children and worked to help them learn and grow while making sure to tidy, clean, complete errands, and transport the children safely to where they need to be.
