I became a caregiver when my mom got sick and diagnosed with cancer at the age of 16 years old and I was force to grown up quick and raise my brothers and sisters. I am the oldest out of 6 kids I learned how to cook ,clean and do laundry that was instilled in me while I was a teenager and it became second nature in life. I love caring for others because it bring me joy the simplest thought can really mean the world to others and make their day, I cared for my aunt who has recently passed from lung cancer to her last breath and it was hard but each day I spent with her was well spent. I’ve raised my niece since she’s been 3 months old and she’s a straight A student and 11 years old.
