I provide a loving, nurturing environment in which children can exercise their creativity and enjoy learning and I have the opportunity to recapture the joys of raising children. As I raised two girls, I always had a group of girls with my children to join us in activities such as camping trips, arts and crafts, day trips, baking, or sleepovers. Prior to having children and a career as a computer programmer, I worked at a day-care center for special needs children for two years. In the past year, I have worked with two families, part-time and as a substitute babysitter for children two to seven years old. Their favorite activities have been playing pretend games with their favorite Disney or television characters. We have fun pretending while we engage in physical activities as well. The children also love reading when we talk about the characters and try to make the Read more characters real.
