I am a college student studying Occupational Therapy. I have been babysitting for 6 years for a few different families. I enjoy working with kids because there is always something to do. For the families that I have babysat for, I have had a range of experiences that make me more aware of what could happen in any given situation. This lets me be preapared for anything, espeically for keeping everyone safe. It also gave me different ways to keep everyone entertained and happy. In addition to babysitting I have partaken in other activities that have prepared me as well. I at school I am part of Big Brothers Big Sisters. This club supports the children that come in, we are their to help the children and be their friends. We teach, entertained, and played with the children. I am responsible for organizing the out reaches and coming up with Read more different activites to the with the kids. I feel that children should be doing different activites and learning instead of watching TV. I will always be thinking of different games and other activites. I am able to help the children with their homework and projects as needed. I have tutored elementary school students who needed extra help. I am patient, understanding, and willing to sit and help the child until he/she understands the material. I feel that understand what is going on is more improtant than just getting the answer right. The most important quality that I have is that I care about the children I work with. I am willing to be there for them, for what they need. I would be an allie to the child(ren) and help them with everything that I can. I will keep them safe, healthy, and happy.
