My name is Olivia Magnanini and I am a 22-year-old college student who recently graduated the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where I majored in History and Spanish, with a concentration in European Studies and Global Cultures. I am currently living at home in Westfield, searching for a full time job. I have many years experience caring for children, I am from a big family and grew up watching my little brother and sister (who are 9 and 7 years younger than me, respectively). I started mother's helping at 12 when I was in middle school, and continued on to babysit by myself when I was 13. I babysat consistently over the span of high school and worked as a camp counselor for a summer when I was 15. After being a camp counselor, I became very skilled at problem solving and handling difficult situations that arise when watching children. In addition Read more to supervising the daily activities of children, I took part in the actual planning process of organizing and managing daily activities and events for campers. In high school, I was very active with the club Westfield Plainfield Connection where we paired Westfield High School tutors and mentors with Plainfield elementary students. This past summer I was a summer school counselor in Madison, WI and have been a bilingual tutor for Schools of Hope also in Madison, working primarily with middle school age students. I am very active, energetic, and creative, I really like to engage with the children (so no TV!). I have babysat all ages of children and usually work for families in the 4-10 age range but I am very flexible. I am fluent in Spanish and know basic French and Italian.
