My name is Meghan Sanchez and I am 24 years old. I was born and raised in New Mexico and received my bachelor degree in communication disorders from NMSU. While in college I worked 3 years at a daycare center where I was a teacher for the 2-3 year old room. After graduating, I started working for an early childhood intervention company where I have been for almost a year now. I am currently licensed in the state of NM as a developmental specialist for children 0-3 years. I help my company target various delays in children and provide therapy to exceed their developmental milestones while in their natural environment (at home or daycares). I have learned how to become aware in monitoring children in 5 domains of development; language, fine motor, gross motor, social/emotional, and cognitive skills. My experience has helped me learn how to build great rapport with Read more children and parents, as well as learn an abundance of information from fellow therapist (PT, OT, SLP, Family Therapist, Nurses). All I have done at work is provide children the opportunity to learn through play, therefore I own a variety of puzzles, art activities, sensory items (play doh, shaving cream, texture books) etc. I truly love working with children and seeing them excel while we build a lasting relationship. I have also always lived an active lifestyle. I have played many sports growing up. In high school I focused on basketball, softball, and the dance team. At NMSU I was a member of the collegiate dance team for 2 years. I still enjoy exercising, staying healthy, and I currently have a CPR license.
