have several experiences volunteering and working with children. I spent this last summer working at a summer camp for children with disabilities, children with epilepsy, children who are burn victims, and children with type 1 diabetes. During my summer at camp I mostly worked with children ages 10-16. I have also volunteered in a second grade classroom, Vacation Bible School, a young girls ballet class, as well as babysitting my younger cousins when they were 7 & 9. I currently volunteer at a local elementary school in the special education classes (pre-school-4th grade). I am a junior in college majoring in Communication Disorders with a supplemental major in Linguistics and a minor in Counseling and Educational Psychology. I hope to become an audiologist or speech-language pathologist after I complete graduate school. I enjoy working with children now, and I hope to gain more experience throughout the years to come.
