I am going into my senior year as a general theatre studies major at UNLV. I have spent the majority of my life pursuing a career in the performing arts. At a job fair I saw a booth with the Girl Scouts and I was instantly interested and excited. For the past year and a half I have had the pleasure of working with Girl Scouts as program coordinator and day camp counselor. The ages have ranged between 4 years old to 13 years old and anywhere from 2-20 girls at a time by myself. As a Girl Scout Leader I organize activities, teach respect, honesty, fairness, responsibility, kindness, teamwork, patience, and listening skills. I also volunteer at my church once a week with the kids. At my church I usually work with boys from 8-11 years old. Working with kids has ignited a new dream and passion. I want Read more to invest in the next generation. After I receive my Bachelor's Degree I plan on going to Graduate School for special education. As a babysitter I am hoping to work with kids, teach what I know, and have a schedule flexible enough to allow me to finish school. I am CPR and First Aid Certified through the Red Cross of America.
