I have been babysitting off and on since I was in middle school. Most of my experience was with toddlers, but through high school and into college I began working with older children (ages 5-12) A lot of my more recent experiences has been mostly tutoring based. I have worked at after school programs and day camps. I recently had an internship at the NYS Museum's after School Program: Museum Club. There I tutored a couple a children with vastly different needs. There was one girl from Bangladesh who had trouble with English, math, and also needed encouragement to participate in activities with other children. There were also some student with attention problems such as ADHD. This experience has reminded me many of the reasons I love working with kids.
