Hello there! My name is Miranda, and I would love to be a nanny/babysitter for you and your family! I knew I wanted to work with children in middle school, and began to babysit for family and friends when I was 14. I was a nanny for two children for 5 years, and then I graduated from high school. I went on to college, and I graduated from college with a A.A.S. in Early Childhood Education from Schenectady County Community College. During my college time, I was an intern at the Gateway Montessori Preschool in Schenectady for one year. After college, I got a job at Parsons Early Learning Center as an Early Head Start lead teacher and have been there ever since. I have ran a mobile infant room (12-18 months), and a toddler room (18-36 months). I currently work in an integrated toddler room, with children who receive Read more Early Intervention services. I hold current CPR/First Aid certifications, and I am also MAT (Medical Administration Training) Certified. I have attended many early childhood educational trainings and seminars through my job, as Early Head Start requires these trainings each year. I am a very active person, and I have a very big appreciation for the outdoors and nature. I love doing arts, crafts, music, and dancing (rather than sitting in front of the television all day!). This love for creativity travels down into the activities that I enjoy doing with children. Positive play is also very important in my eyes, and is the foundation for the learning that children do every day. I love being interactive and responsive to children and families, and am very respectful and mindful of what parents would like their children to learn. I enjoy providing meaningful activities and experiences for children to explore and manipulate, and being creative every day. Thank you so much for taking the time to read a little about myself.
