Hello, My name is Erin. I am a full time student at The New School and recently left my part time nanny position of over 7 years with two fantastic kids. I also continue to babysit occasionally for various clients throughout the New York City area. I have worked with children ages 1 month to 10 years of age and feel equally comfortable with every child I've met. I try to be sure to play right next to each child on their level while maintaining a relationship as the person in charge of their well being while the parents are absent. I try to combine activities they already enjoy with opportunities to express themselves creatively and indirectly educate them. It has been my experience that there is no best way or one way to raise a child but rather the best way for each individual family. I feel myself not Read more only an employee of the parents but also a partner working toward a common interest. I feel great responsibility for both the child and parent and try to make sure the house is in an excellent condition and atmosphere when the parent returns. My availability as I start classes lies primarily in the evening hours Monday, Wednesday and Friday and afternoon and evening hours of the weekends. I have the uncanny ability to feed, shower and tuck-in multiple children in a very short amount of time while not neglecting the opportunity for children to have a few minutes to catch their breath and digest their day before bed. I have been known to do all the voices while reading books and have an arsenal of lullabyes that I enjoy singing as much as the children enjoy hearing them. While nannying and babysitting is certainly not an easy job it is one that I genuinely enjoy and take great pride in doing well.
