I have over 10 years of babysitting experience. I come from a large family so I started out as my mom's little helper. At 12, I began babysitting to help family friends and to have my own income. I discovered I was really good at it because I am very calm in high energy situations and can juggle watching multiple kids. I am extremely patient so dealing with many personality types comes easily. And I'm really great with rambunctious kids, or kids that need extra attention. Being a middle child helped me develop the ability to be a great mediator and communicator. I regularly babysat for a handful of families through high school and college, and worked part time in the childcare facility at a church. I worked at the church's summer programs where we took groups of kids on day field trips, often watching a group of kids by Read more myself. And I have also nannied for family vacations a few times. I'm still a kid at heart, so I have no problem building forts, creating imaginary worlds, or doing whatever over-the-top activity it takes to engage kids. I love playing with kids because it keeps me young, and they ask the most creative questions. It keeps me learning!
