My Whole life I have been involved with teaching, coaching, and taking care of children. I started babysitting when I was a teenager in high school by watching over my three younger siblings during the weekdays and weekends. I also became involved in coaching and officiating PAL youth girls lacrosse through out my junior and senior year. In college, where I attended American University, I played division 1 lacrosse and pursued a major in studio arts. During my spare time, I continued to coach club lacrosse teams and run introductory skill clinics for young girls aged 4-16. I also provided babysitting services to families in the DC area during weeknights in addition to my academic and athletic commitments. During my summers while going to college I worked as a camp counselor for Camps R Us in Hicksville, NY. I started off as a 5th and 6th grade counselor, but quickly Read more got promoted to the camp's Art Director the following summer. After college I stayed involved with coaching lacrosse at the collegiate level for Molloy College. During that time I decided to steer my passion for the arts and coaching by going back to school for Art Education. Currently I am a NYS Certified Art Education (K-12) teacher as well as the assistant women's lacrosse coach at Queens College. During my spare time to teaching and coaching, I also enjoy cooking, baking, painting, yoga, and hula hooping! I recently became a certified hula hooping instructor so I am able to teach it and better understand the art myself.
