I will be the perfect caregiver for your child because of my love for children and my ability to engage them in various positive activities. I am currently a substitute teacher in three Long Island school districts: Miller Place, Shoreham-Wading River and Riverhead Central School District. As a substitute teacher, I have gained experience in teaching students from kindergarten to twelfth grade. I have been assigned to both general education classes as well as special education classes. My experience also includes being a teaching assistant for seven years at Just Kids Early Childhood Learning Center, a nationally recognized school providing developmentally appropriate curriculum for disabled and non-disabled children. In this capacity, I was responsible for the social and emotional development of children with special needs. I completed my Master’s Degree in Special Education/Childhood Education from Dowling College and received my Bachelor’s Degree in Mass Communications from SUNY Oneonta. I am Read more NYS certified in Childhood Education, Birth- Grade 6 and NYS Students with Disabilities, Birth- Grade 6. My experiences above demonstrate my extensive background in dealing with children of all ages and abilities. I know how to make things fun, am always involved and caring and have the tools to make routine tasks enjoyable. I don’t want to brag, but kids like me and feel safe with me.
