Hello! My name is Danielle and I've had quite a bit of experience with watching children. I'm currently 21 years old and going into my senior year at Penn State University. I'm majoring in Secondary Education with a minor in Deafness and Hearing and a certification in English as a Second Language. Being an older cousin, I've watching my 4 cousins, then ages 8-12, any chance I could. My first outside babysitting job was in 2011 for two boys whose mother went to conferences on the weekends, ages 10 and 13. After that, I worked at a local day care/summer camp from 2011-2012 and was in charge of 20 younger children ages 6-8. After that, I started a new summer job at Brewster's Hillside summer camp which I will be continuing this year (weekends and after camp free). At school I've been a part of several programs involving children including Read more an overnight camp experience for 5th grade students at the local nature center. I've also tutored middle school students with mild disabilities on the weekends. I've gone through multiple child care trainings and am certified in CPR through the American Red Cross. These trainings cover conflict mediation, characteristics of each age, detecting internal problems and much much more. I can speak some Spanish and sign language. I have no problem doing some light cooking or cleaning and LOVE all pets. I'm an avid runner and would love to travel the world. I believe that all children deserve and education and educators that want to see and help them succeed. I enjoy creative projects and philanthropy or charity work. I am also teaching myself to play the Ukulele (I'm not so bad!)
