Hello! I currently have a very flexible schedule since I am on break from school for the summer. I'm available for any type of babysitting position (full-time, part-time, and occasional). This fall, I will be starting my third year studying Childhood Education in a Teacher Certification Program at Manhattanville College. I have wanted to be a teacher since I was first asked "what do you want to be when you grow up?" back when I was in kindergarten. In elementary school, I was always very eager to help the younger grades during lunch time or after-school. All my teachers would tell me "what a great teacher I would be." More recently, I have been studying to become a teacher. Through babysitting, classroom observations, and other recent experience, I have really solidified my passion for teaching and working with children. In addition to my love for children and educational background, I Read more have had many experiences working/volunteering with children of various ages. I started my career when I was in middle school, tutoring elementary-level students in reading and math. In high school, I started babysitting my younger cousins (by my senior year they were ages 1, 6, and 9) and a few other children in my area (ages 7-10). In addition to this, I volunteered leading children with special needs (ages 7- 15) as a counselor at a day camp and volunteered as an assistant to a Kindergarten teacher. Last summer (2014), I worked as an Assistant Teacher at a daycare in Manhattan. I primarily worked in a 2-year-old classroom, but also worked with every other age group present (3 months-4 years). This past semester (Spring 2015), I interned in a second grade classroom, helping at-risk students in English Language Arts.
