Hi, my name is Britney! My experience caring for others is quite unique - while most have been babysitting and caring for young children, I found my passion for taking care of others by working with the elderly population. As a teenager, I really found a love for service, whether it was in a clothing retail environment, managing at my neighborhood fast food restaurant or volunteering at elementary schools. However, it was my time working in nursing home facilities that I was able to truly understand the value of caring for others. Now in college, it has been so rewarding to apply my educational focus in Therapeutic Recreational (TR) studies to the elderly patients I have had the privilege to care for; it is in this space that I have seen that children can and do benefit from the TR mindset as well. My specific desire is to work with Read more children with varying abilities and who have been labeled "special needs". I have the heart, compassion, patience and understanding that I know will enhance my time with your child (or grandparent)! I would love meeting you and your child(ren) and to share more about who I am, where I am from and why I would be the perfect fit your family. I believe in the golden rule of "Treating others as I want to be treated" - so, I hope to hear from you soon and begin an awesome journey together.
