I hired Nicole to care for my 1 year old, at the time she was hired my daughter was only 7 months old. At first everything was great with Nicole and I thought I found one of the “good ones” then after about 5 months things went downhill. I told her I was pregnant and then things turned, she then stated the hours are too long, then asked me for a raise and demanded 3 weeks off for a training program so she can work part time taking care of the elderly. Me being the kind person that I am agreed to let her leave and i had a temp come in to cover. When Nicole returned and her training was completed everything changed. Anything I would say to her she would roll her eyes and I always felt I had to walk on eggshells around her. Recently things got even worse, I asked her to put my daughter to sleep earlier for a nap because she wasn’t sleeping at night and I am trying to figure out what it is that is keeping her up at night. Being a working mom is tough enough and for your baby to not sleep and being pregnant at the same time is even harder. When I asked her to put the baby down for a nap earlier she then quit and said this job is too stressful and her napping earlier is not good and now she will have to watch her for 6 hours straight in the afternoon. I had no choice but to let her go as she was quiting so abruptly.
