Hello! I am currently a Speech-Language Pathology graduate student and am seeking babysitting jobs in Brooklyn and Manhattan. In the past, I have cared for infants through teenagers. My experience dates back to almost 15 years ago when I started as a mother's helper for 4-year-old twins at age 12. Since then, I have babysat for numerous families with children between the ages of 2 and 15 years old. As an undergraduate student, I spent my summers and winters caring for children ages 5 months through 6 years old as an assistant teacher at a learning center on Long Island. I created a fun learning environment for my kids, keeping them busy with songs, books and games. I also had great working relationships with the children's parents, always being respectful of their needs and desires for their children. After securing my Bachelor's degree, I worked at a large NYC law Read more firm for 4 years before entering my graduate program. While I did not hold babysitting jobs during this time, I cared for several infants and toddlers of family members and friends. I also took some coursework in child development in preparation for graduate school. As I approach becoming a full-time graduate student in August 2014, I am excited to begin babysitting again. You can expect from me a babysitter who is active, fun, compassionate, patient and gentle. Most importantly, I adhere to each families' rules, routines and expectations to keep your household running as smoothly as possible.
