I am an extrovert, who naturally thrives around people. When I started babysitting at thirteen, I fell in love with the position, but quickly realized how much responsilibity it truly was. After working with kids on and off for ten years, I have gained so much experience and have learned that I find joy in taking care of any child, no matter what the age. I've worked with kids at Camp Kippewa, where I was a camp counselor and a dance instructor, who had to create new activities to keep the kids engaged and supervise them throughout their time at camp. I was also responsible for monitoring and playing with kids during the events I worked for at Disneyworld in FLorida.I have also been a caregiver to specials needs children and children with behavorial issues when I worked with S.P.E.E.D school district for a summer.These experiences have taught me that Read more every child’s personality is diverse, and it is important that I get to know the child individually, so he or she will listen and respect me, while also having fun with activities that are specifically tailored to his or her interests. Safety, courtesy and efficiency are my top priorities when being with children. It is important that the child is in a safe environment and that he or she feels safe at all times—I will never put a child’s safety at risk. Secondly, I create an environment founded on respect and make sure that we are all courteous to one another. I make sure that the child feels respected at all times, so that he or she is always comfortable. Lastly, I strongly value efficiency, because while there is fun to be had, there will always be chores, homework, and possibly lessons that need to be attended to. I have a bright and fun energy that inspires a playful environment for children to be themselves in, but through my years studying at a private university, working numerous jobs, and attending acting school, I’ve learned the value of appropriate nurture and respect, which I always appropriate well with the fun that can (and will) be had
