For more than 5 years, I have had the pleasure of working with young children as a babysitter, tutor and mentor. I enjoy the company of children and actively participate in developing their speech and cognitive development through stimulating games, reading, coloring, drawing and trips to the playground or public library. I promote learning with puzzle play, dress up, sing alongs, dance and other mini lessons which I incorporate in my daily curriculum. My goal is to provide a safe, healthy and active learning environment for the child who is in my care. I am CPR certified and have received state training in Health and Safety of children and in Working with Disabilities. Currently, I have been enhancing my knowledge of children through college classes in Early Education. This is where I became fascinated with intricate aspects of Child development and where I discovered my gift for teaching and interacting Read more with children while providing proper care and being their role model. Offering a child the opportunity to learn and explore his or her world is my greatest gift and one of my passions. I maintain a well organized day that follows the parent's schedule, have assisted in many doctor visits with sick and well children. When required to, I have administered prescription medication to sick children. I supervise play dates, prepare nutritious and tasty meals, aid children at bath time, assist in homework help. Also, playground, library and museum trips are encouraged for evolving fundamental skills and exercise. I will continue to enjoy my work and explore my own talents as a nanny until I graduate a teacher, two years from now.
