Hi, my name is April, I'm a San Francisco based artist who works professionally in recycling and am looking for babysitting work in the Bay Area. I'm a positive and playful person who is incredibly crafty, musical, and resourceful. I'm health conscious and well organized and take pride in creating nutritious meals and helping parents keep a tidy home. When it comes to child care I value safety and imagination. I've been babysitting for over sixteen years with ages ranging from newborns to thirteen. My most notable babysitting experiences include working as a live in nanny for a newborn and three year old in Las Vegas, babysitting an awesomely hilarious five year old mini Batman in Manhattan, and caring for three incredibly talented and imaginative kids (5,8,10) at Burning Man. I am CPR certified and have a BA in theatre from UNLV. I love gardening and hope to share the Read more wonders and magic of nature with all the children I watch. I'm a super active and engaged sitter and love playing and I am also extremely grateful to have never had an injury under my watch ( knock on wood).

April was an ongoing after-school sitter for my kindergartner 3 days a week for the 2015-2016 school year. My husband and I felt so lucky to have found her (I wish she was still in NYC!). Not only was she responsible and a good communicator, but she exuded warmth and love and had a happy free spirit that was engaging to be around. She engaged my son in arts and crafts, actively played with him in the playground, took him to his sports and classes and playdates, and got down on the floor and played lego and superhero re-enactments for hours. She also has a very strong moral compass and wasn't afraid to help impart that to our son if he wasn't making good choices. When she wasn't sure how to handle things she asked and was very open to feedback and guidance. We trusted her completely. My son adored her. And I got tons of unsolicited positive feedback from other parents and caregivers after they would interact with her. Please feel free to contact me with any questions!

April watched our preschooler and baby for a week while our nanny was on vacation and April was visiting Seattle. Our kids aren't the most easy-going, but April jumped right in to their schedule. The kids absolutely loved her -- she's so fun, but lets them know that she's in charge. She's sweet, creative, and managed to clean up before we got home each day (bonus!) She was so great that we gave our nanny an extra day off so that April could come back to watch the kids one more day before she returned to NY. If she lived in Seattle, we'd definitely have her watch our kids regularly.
